Fernando Barroso was born in Ferrol (Galicia) in 1979, he is a self-taught guitarist and is specialized in fretted instruments applied to traditional & folk music.

He founded and played in numerous bands in Galicia (El rincón de Morgan, Xerfa, Xaiva, Ártabra, Quenda folk y Saldos Negativos) and has also worked with different artists (Anxo Lorenzo, Ardentía, Sete Saias, Xosé Liz, Mark Campos, Begoña Riobó, Abraham Fernandez, Tres estrous Tympanic Bulla, etc. ..).

He has also been teacher in several courses and workshops on folk string instruments throughout Spain.

Today he plays in two folk bands in Galicia: "RIOBO" de Vigo and "COANHADEIRA" of Orense, in addition to that he plays with an international trio of "Assembly Point" with Luis Peixoto from Portugal and the Irish fiddler Eoghan Neff .

His workshop will be about music of Galicia and Ireland

Where?

CaFlà will take place in Cagliari. Cagliari is the capital city of Sardinia in Italy. The festival will be in the old town, in the piazzas of Marina neighborhood which is the fishermen ancient district.
