What is a Fleadh?

The Irish (Gaelic) term FLEADH means simply Festival. Fleadh Cheoil (Flà Kili): Music Feast
In fact, in Ireland the term has a more specific meaning: the Fleadh Cheoil indicates a great musical event that takes place every year .
It is prepared for a whole year and is attended by the best soloists of traditional Irish instruments.

In fact, in Ireland, the Fleadh is a competition, a "National Championship" of music with a lot of qualifying rounds in different counties that ends with the All Ireland Fleadh and with the election by a jury of the annual champions .

The various winners will bear the title "All-Ireland Fleadh Champions," for example: Paraic Stapleton, County Tipperary is the current All-Ireland flute champion of 2010 last appointed at Cavan Fleadh Cheoil, in the homonymous county in Ireland.

Below we offer a video to give you an idea of what happens in the streets of an Irish city during a Fleadh.
