The duo was born on the project of recovering the valuable repertoire of English folk ballads that are found in lute scores between the sixteenth and the eighteenth century.
This music has its roots in the mists of time, turns to Medieval ballads in the Renaissance and is still performed within the folk music circle .
Some of the songs chosen are not new to recent interpretations, even of success, while others are completely unedited.
Each text is a description of a defined world which is representative of specific moments in History and society ( love songs, epic tales, biting tavern songs).
Coming from different background, Annalisa Ghiani in the field of folk music and Franco Fois in that of ancient music, they reinterpret the material from oral tradition and old documents in an original synthesis.
The concert takes place Saturday 23rd at 6 pm at the Ostello della Marina.
